Paula Faris

Paula Faris is an American journalist from the US. She previously worked as an anchor for TV on ABC News. Her most well-known work is her work as cohost on Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to 2018, and host of The View, 2015-2018. In the past, she anchors World News Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She worked in radio sales, because of the limited opportunities for television. She eventually found work for one year as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally anchor and report. She was one of the weekend and weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 until. Her contract was terminated and she became a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011 it was revealed that she was employed by the news division of ABC, ABC News. The 2nd of January, 2012, she made her debut on the ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning. She was a reporter and substitute for Good Morning America during this period. Then she was promoted to New York-based correspondent on all ABC News programs. She was unable to get to the last show of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22nd 2013. On August 9, 2014, she was announced as the co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga. Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of August, 2015 ABC announced that she would join The View as a co-host for season 19. Her contract was renewed by ABC for the 20th season on August 3. Season 21 also saw her renewed as co-host. During the series' 21st and 22nd seasons she mostly appeared on the Friday episode of the program.
