Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English actress, model, director, and activist. Wright is most well-known for her performance in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The actress remained in the role for ten years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). Wright was in numerous independent films after the series. These films were not well-received. She was the stage's first main character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. The following year, she founded her own production firm, BonBonLumiere, and began making short films. Her first project in the direction of a director was the coming-of-age-drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) with David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical acclaim. She directed Know Thyself (2016), featuring Christian Coulson, and Sextant (2016), both of which used landscapes and emotion as themes. Wright's trilogy, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She directed music videos for musicians Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn as well as Scarlett Johansson. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace, Lumos and has received recognition for her environmental activism.
